Understand

Read the live architecture, constraints, failure modes, delivery path, and ownership before proposing change.

Make decisions explicit, record the alternatives, and define the target at implementation depth.

Implement with the client team through the real delivery system. Correct the architecture when production evidence changes the answer.

Move code, documentation, runbooks, decision history, and operating ownership by a date agreed at the start.

Fit

Good fit: Critical infrastructure, difficult migrations, repeated incidents, platform foundations, architecture under regulatory or reliability constraints.
Not a fit: Known work that primarily needs additional hands, managed operations, or open-ended staff augmentation.
Deliverables: Decision records, target architecture, implementation code, delivery paths, migration and recovery runbooks, ownership maps, and transfer sessions.
